Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery is located on 111th Street on what is often called cemetery row. While it's very sparse in sculpture, it does have the twin angel sulptures of 'The Trumpet Shall Sound' and 'The Dead Shall Rise' guarding the main entrance.

Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery

Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery is located directly across the street from Mount Carmel Cemetery featured on page two of this web site. Consecrated in 1947 it is the final resting place of many of the Catholic religious orders in the Chicago area. While it does have many excellent monuments, it plainly shows the difference between an old cemetery (just look at Mount Carmel) and a modern one. Still it is a very beautiful cemetery with a huge ground rosary and a grouping of the 12 apostles. It's also famous as the home of an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
