Size: 11½" Rufus brown
head, back and wings. White belly with dark brown streaks. Yellow eyes. Breeds across Southern Canada from Alberta to Ontario. South through Eastern two thirds of the US to the Gulf and Florida. We've had a Brown Thrasher off and on visiting our yard for three straight years. We've never seen more than one or seen a nest or young birds. Thrasher is a fence line bird very seldomly venturing away from it into the yard. |
