Description
Size: 5½-6½"
Rufous crown on a gray head, streaked brown on top, gray below dark spot in
center of breast.
Voice: rapid warble
Range: Breeds across northern Canada. Winters in the United States south to the Carolinas.
One of our favorite birds the American Tree Sparrow regularly visits our feeders during
the winter. It seems the more snow we get, the more Tree Sparrows we get.
